Section 1: Assignment Preparation Checklist
Before beginning your assignment:

☐ I understand the purpose and requirements of the assignment.
☐ I identified the main topic or research question.
☐ I understand the required format and submission guidelines.
☐ I know the due date and submission method.
☐ I have reviewed grading criteria or rubrics provided by my instructor.
Section 2: Research Preparation Checklist
Before writing:
☐ I selected a clear and focused topic.
☐ I developed a research question or main purpose.
☐ I used reliable academic sources.
☐ My sources are relevant to my topic.
☐ I evaluated the credibility of my sources.
☐ I organized my research notes properly.
☐ I kept track of all sources used for citations.
Section 3: Academic Writing Checklist
Introduction
☐ My introduction clearly explains the topic.
☐ I provided necessary background information.
☐ I explained the purpose of my paper.
☐ I included a clear thesis statement or research objective.
Body Paragraphs

Section 5: Citation Checklist
Before submitting:
☐ Every borrowed idea has a citation.
☐ Direct quotes include citations.
☐ Paraphrased information includes citations.
☐ Statistics and data include citations.
☐ Images, charts, and tables include citations when required.
☐ Citations are formatted correctly.
☐ Author names and dates are accurate.
Section 6: Reference List Checklist
☐ Reference page begins on a new page.
☐ The title “References” is formatted correctly.
☐ All references are alphabetized.
☐ References use hanging indentation.
☐ All sources cited in the paper appear in the reference list.
☐ All references listed are used in the paper.
☐ DOI or URLs are included when required.
